Account Manager - Affiliate Marketing

The Account Manager, reporting directly to the Director of Affiliate Marketing, will be responsible for managing client’s relationships to ensure that the accounts day-to-day activities are optimized. The Account Manager manages existing and new client accounts, establishes the clients’ strategy, and manages daily account activities to ensure the clients’ overall goals are achieved.

Responsibilities

Manage Client Relationships

  • Manage the on-boarding of new clients
  • Determine the clients’ goals for growth
  • Establish and execute clients’ strategy based on promotions, commissions, and budget
  • Create an action plan based on the strategy set to achieve the clients’ goals
  • Coordinate with clients to retrieve all promotional assets (promotional copy/code, banners, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Graphic Designers to have creative assets developed, as required
  • Formulate reports and analyze the performance of the campaign
  • Ensure financial performance across multiple accounts/projects, i.e. profitability, income (including forecasts), growth (business development/new opportunity), and manage network fees
  • Provide feedback and make recommendations for improvement on the account
  • Evaluate, communicate, and coordinate the resolution of technical issues
  • Provide comparative analysis to clients, as required
  • Keep Director of Affiliate Marketing up-to-date on all projects and discuss issues with them, seeking to continually strengthen the client relationship

Manage Systems & Networks

  • Maintain internal tools, networks and CRM

Manage Affiliate Relationships

  • Optimize, negotiate terms, and grow partnerships with affiliates
  • Recruit and evaluate new affiliate partners and opportunities
  • Monitor day-to-day account activity
  • Communicate promotions and answer affiliate questions on a daily basis
  • Manage the affiliate promotional calendar
  • Create promotional assets (banners, links, etc.) and commission terms in the network

Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience in digital marketing, account management, sales or related field
  • Ability to build strong client relationships quickly
  • Excellent communications skills, in both English and French
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Working experience in the  affiliate marketing industry or e-commerce (asset)
  • Experience using Rakuten Affiliate Network, CJ Affiliate by Conversant or any other affiliate network (asset)

Education & Experience

Undergraduate degree: Preferably in Business/Marketing
